Should I go to eBay university?

Absolutely yes. I attended my first eBay university whilst clearing out the attic and cupboards and selling anything I could lay my hands on!The best part of the day for me back then was meeting other new sellers and swaping stories and catching up, I made some very good friends, who I keep in touch with.Everyone there when you are new, is there for the same reason to learn.Three years on and the whole university experience has taken a very professional feel - with banners and signs and a more organised approach. On the day you can choose which sessions you want to go too, and the best bit is the CD with all the sessions powerpoint presentations on.As a business seller I was interested in the higher tracks 3 and 4, I attended the paypal session (and apparantly exciting changes are afoot for sellers) and I went to the Branding and Marketing Session in the morning, during lunch I popped into the Powerseller lounge! (not as posh as it sounds) and attended a session by ChannelAdvisor, who provide advanced eBay strategies for the big boys. In the afternoon I went to the Tax, Vat and Other numbers, which was interesting, but really aimed at newbie business sellers, and then the strategy review which summerised the whole day, for the last hour you get to interrogate some powersellers who are Titanium level! (95k a month turn over...!) Nice bunch, :) and not that scary! And most of them "happened" on the big idea which has made them the success they are today! I would recommend eBay university as a good place to idea's share and get advice from peeps in the same boat as you, a good place to network and meet other sellers, go with a packed lunch and an open mind, and see what you can learnKindest wishesSuz xx- For 2008 eBay have no university events planned- boo!Ps -Please vote to let me know if you find these interesting - so I know if I should add more!
