Sony Ericsson W880i
I am a dedicated SE fan and this is just the smartest phone i have had from the range.I have had a t610 K700 K750 K610 W810i K800i and now the W880i.Out of all the phones the K800i was probably the best but for style and build quality it is hard to fault the W880i.Even though it is incredibly thin (I still cannot believe they managed to squeeze everything in) it is remarkably well constructed with a steel front and tough plastic back which in itself is a touch of genius as it is coated with a very tactile non slip surface (you can set it on the dash of your car and it wont slip off).I think it looks well in either the traditional Walkman black and orange of in its stainless steel guise although the more fashion concious will probably go for the stainless look.Just on the level of gadgets fitted into this sliver of tech i have to say well done SE. Even though the cam is a 2MP it still produces a clear sharp picture and the bluetooth is the easiest to use that i have found in a mobile (unlike Motorolas attempt which is damn near impossible to operate) The trademark Walkman gubbins leaves this a respectable replacement for those who dont wish to carry an Ipod alongside their phone as it makes a fairly decent job of music playback and with a, usually bundled, 1GB M2 memory card there is ample room for songs, pictures, ringtones etc.The only drawback i could find was that the number keys are a bit on the small side if your digits resemble small sausages but they are still perfectly usable for the majority. Finally and i think this makes SE phones so likeable is the ability to change Themes at the touch of a button. Themes are a way to customise how each page of your screen looks and there are thousands freely available to download and install on your phone. The ultimate customization.Throw away your Nokia, Ditch the Moto and sling the Samsung. SE has got everything right with its range and there is a phone to suit all. Highly recommended to all.

cheap sony ericsson k800i
To all those wanting to buy a sony ericsson k800i! These phones are now for sale in the carphone warehouse at 99.95. The catch is that you need to top up 10 pound when you buy, but I find 109.95 much cheaper for a brand new phone than some of ebay's prices, which are generally second hand. Hope this helps

LG PRADA MOBILE PHONE
Absolutely fabulous phone, i love it. The design looks so ace and the full touch screen is amazing. The free games which come with the phone are half decent. The only downside is the lack of ringtones. Suppose i will finally have to learn how to download some. lol.

PAGERS - Do's and Dont's
Radio Paging has been available in the UK for many years nowand despite it's reduced popularity with the boom of the mobile phone, there are still benefit's in having a pager. Read on to make sure you don't end up buying something as useful as a chocolate fireguard !Once upon a time, there were many Paging service providers, including Mercury and BT - however the majority of paging companies have long gone and there remains only a few left, with PageOne being the main player and Vodafone running primarily arental only service. Take this into consideration when buying a pager so as not to buy something that simply doesn't work !Several years ago, BT and the telecoms watch-dog Ofcom ran a major upgrade to all telephone area codes which included the introduction of some new STD codes (eg 020 for London), plus the migration of all mobile numbers to start 07. The same project brought all pager devices together to start with an 07 number too. So, rule of thumb is that if a pager you're considering buying starts with an 07 number, you've more chance of it working when you get it (ask the seller, they should know). That's not to say that older pagers starting 08 won't work as it's possible that a quick call to PageOne with the pagers details might get it re-registered, but anything with a different prefix to mentioned, just avoid. (Contact PageOne for further advice - Google search them). There are also several types of pager and it's easy to buy the wrong thing. Most people think that all pagers will receive full text messages - this isn't the case. The basic pagers are known as Numeric and they quite simply receive a numbered message only. Callers to numeric pagers are greeted by an automated system that invites them to enter a numbered message on their telephone keypad and it's this number thats sent to the pager. It could be a telephone number or even an agreed coded message (i.e. 999 might mean ring home urgently).Alphanumeric pagers will receive full messaging. You can either send a numeric message as above, or be invited to speak with an operatorwho'll takea fullmessage (relatively short) that will be sent to the paging device.Site paging. These aren't generally advertised by this description, but there's a type of pager that is designed only to work in a small area i.e. within a hospital, factory etc. These are customized for the site they're working on only and the site can add or remove pagers from a local system as required. They are not full public pagers and as such can not be made to work with a paging service company !Finally ... there used to be Tone pagers - in fact there still are but you're unlikely to find them working on a non-rental service. They go bleep only (no display) whichprompts the user to ring home, office or whomever has the pager number. They don't get used much, so don't bother unless your buying one for your own private museum of past gadgets !Note specific for BT listed pagers: As mentioned, the BT network no longer operates. Generally, most BT pagers can't be re-registered, so should be avoided (unless you have access to some fancy reprograming and tweaking equipment).Although it's possible to have a pager operating on a monthly contract charge (pre-paid, similar to contract mobile phones), the most common pager you're likely to find on ebay is a CPP type, or Calling Party Pay's. Quite simply, this means there are no on-going charges or rental costs for the owner of the pager, but costs are recovered from the caller and charged to their BT phone bill. Costs vary but are generally between 25p and 40p per message. It's a difficult subject to write about completely and there simply isn't the space to comment on every type and model of pager, but the above is intended as a guide and pointer for prospective buyers. I hope this helps and you don't get caught out.

Buying/unlocking a Blackberry ? Read this!
Before spending a substantial amount of money on a new Blackberry, it is important to know these few things:1) Blackberry Storm: It is a Vodafone exclusive. Beware of sellers claiming that they got their phones unlocked by Vodafone, since Vodafone clearly stated that VODAFONE DOES NOT UNLOCK THE BLACKBERRY STORM. Also, beware of sellers who do not specify that they have the phones in stock, since the Blackberry Storm s2) Unclocking your Blackberry: When you buy a phone on a different network provider, you will need to unlock it to use it on your network. The cost will vary, however, once again, beware of people trying to sell you something that is completely FREE. Vodafone UK will provide the Network Unclock Code for free, provided you or a friend have a Pay Monthly contract. This is valid not only for Blackberries, but for any phone on Vodafone UK.3) Used Blackberries: Before buying, check with the seller that the phone has not been registered on any Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) because otherwise it can get quite difficult/costly to use any of the Blackberry data services, since the phone will need to be unregistered from the original network and sometimes this can be even impossible if the phone comes from another country of for some specific networks which require the original owner to unregister the phone.4)"Faulty" Blackberries: Some sellers try to sell Blackberries as faulty saying that these are unable to send/receive calls, while other services (emails, messenger, etc.) work perfectly. BEWARE! These are lost/stolen phones. In fact, when the Blackberry IMEI gets banned by a network, the Blackberry will display exactly these symptoms.5) Insurance fraud: Do yourself a favour: pay with Paypal and remember that it is always better to get a proof of purchase from the original owner. Why? Because many people try to fraud phone insurance companies in this way: they sell their phone on Ebay and, after some time, they declare it as lost/stolen to the insurance company which consequently bans the IMEI of the phone they sold and give the fraudsters a new phone. When you receive your phone, check the IMEI and immediately send an email to your seller asking to confirm that he sold you that phone. Also, in case the phone you bought from Ebay stopped working (making/receiving calls, etc.) this is most likely what happened! Try to recover all the information on the transaction from Ebay/ Paypal, tell the seller that you discovered what happened and eventually go to police!I hope you will find these informations useful and that you will help others to read this guide by voting it as useful!Have a nice Ebay experience and enjoy your phone! :)Lidia

Nokia N97 Debranding Guide
Nokia N97Debranding GuideThe Guide:1. Ensure that you have installed the Nokia PC Suite (on the CD supplied with the phone), make sure thatyour phone is connected via the USB cable and that it has been detected. If you do not have thesoftware you can download it from Nokia here but you will needthe correct cable to connect your phone to you computer. This will be needed if you wish to backupyour contacts ect. If you do not wish to do a backup of your contacts then you can skip this step.2. Install the following 2 pieces of software:? Nemesis Service Suite (NSS)? The Nokia Software Updater3. Install Nemesis Service Suite. Open the program and then click the "Scan for new Device" icon in thetop right of the screen. The screen should then be filled with information, click the "Phone Info"button at the top of the screen. Then click the "Read" button. Amongst other things this will show youthe current product code of your phone. You now need to change this to a generic Nokia code.Replace the current product code with a new 7 digit code from the list at the end of the document, these are phone specific and the regions will determine what languages your phone will have. For theUK/US just use Euro1/2, there are also different codes for the colours of the phone but this will haveno difference to the update. Pick a code that most suits your region from the list below.Once you have your code replace your old code, then check the enable box and click the "Write button".You have now changed your phones product code! You can double check this by clicking the readbutton again; this should show your new product code.? You may at this stage wish to back up you contacts/files to carry over to the unbranded phone, to dothis use Backup utility within the Nokia PC Suite.? DEBRANDING YOUR PHONE WILL WIPE ALL MESSAGES CONTACTS ECT SO UNLESS YOU BACK THEMUP USING THE NOKIA BACKUP YOU WILL LOOSE THEM!4. You now just have to install the new firmware update. Make sure that you phone is connected to yourcomputer through the USB cable and then open the Nokia Software Updater that you previouslydownloaded. Follow the step by step instructions and install the new firmware. Do not at any timedisconnect the phone until it tells you that it is safe to do so. Note the phone will restart itself duringthe update process.5. That's it, you phone has now been debranded! You can now restore your files/contacts by going backinto the Backup utility, however I suggest that you do not restore settings to the phone as this putsback some annoying operator defaults such has changed menu layouts.6. If you wish to update your phones firmware in the future you simply need to use the Nokia Updateras usual as your phones product code will not need changing again.RM-505 (Global version) - currently Scam - USB memory stick
Recently it has come to my attention that a scam is being operated high end USB memory sticks. The seller reprogrammes a 2gb memory stick to look like a 16gb or 32gb. The buyer gets the stick may take quite a while to fill it up beyond the 2gb by which time the buyer has left ve feedback. If you notice (I did) the seller immediately offers your money back so you do not give -ve feedback. The only way to check the size of the stick is to try filling it up. I have contacted 3 people who gave ve feedback from what looked like good sellers, all of whom found that they had been sold small sized memory mascerading as 16gb or 32gb! I suggest that you check any USB memory stick that you buy before you give feedback!

What is De-branding ?De-branding basically means removing awful operator firmware, and replacing it with the manufacturers original firmware. Hence converting your phone to the full spec as it was intended by the manufacturer. (the way it should be)What are the benefits of De-branding ?Once your mobile has been de-branded, you will notice all the menu systems are clearer, un-restricted, and often faster too. We also use the latest firmware to date, which will hold improvements on your old firmware. This often removes any software glitches that your phone previously had. Also some network firmware's prevent you uploading ringtones

absolutley fantastic pushchair! not only does it look good-but it's a great pushchair to use.adjustable handle height-great for me as i'm tall and dont need to bend over to push it.the seat is lightly padded and comfy and theres loads of room in there! the seat can be removed for cleaning (although this is tricky and should be avoided if possible! as it takes ages)it has a removeable hood with handy pocket's for storage,it can be used as a travel system with the maxi cosi and also the dreami carry cot-all of which i've used with it. i also have a matching cosy-toes and changing bag which are readily purchased but not cheap.(unless( i've been told )you have an aubergene older style quinny freestyle-the extras are hard to match)the shopping basket is big enough to hold a couple of bags full, you can also attach bags via a clip to the handles and its still stable.it is a dream to push,it has a swivel wheel-all wheels have suspension so its a smooth ride for baby too! it also has a break and bell on the handle-which sounds silly-but once you get used to the break, its strange pushing a buggy without one as it seems insecure.its stronge and well made, infact my 9yr old daughter sat in it quite comfortably on a long walk once, the buggy didnt show any signs of strain. its Durability is amazing.it is made of aluminum and i've left mine out in the rain twice now (oops) but it doesnt show any signs of rust ect.the down falls of the quinny in my opinion are that although its reasonably light-it doesnt fold up small unless you remove the wheels-but you really dont want to be doing this eveytime you go any where! and once folded the wheel touches the hood-which is'nt good if you've been on a muddy walk!this pushchair is a must if like walking or running in the country or on the beach, but its not for walking about town. the quinny is a REAL SOLID pushchair and is well worth the money, i recommend it-definatly the best pushchair i've owned and i've had a few!!.

MiniCall PageOne pager
I still have an old Motorola pager of this type. Not used it for a long time, and forgot that I had been informed (as another review in this series says) that the code has been changed to 07623 (from the old 01523). I have just tested it - phoned the number, and asked them to send me a message. It works!I am not planning to sell it, as it's a good back-up to a mobile phone, is small and neat, and is cost-free apart from an AAA battery that lasts for ages. (Caller pays approx. 50p). My internet researches suggest that new subscribers may have to take out a monthly contract, though: I'll wait and see if my new use of it brings a contract demand!UPDATE April 2008: It still works fine, and I have had no payment demand. I am glad I kept it.Berrybox

The Jabra SP5050 - is it any good?
Well, I was looking for a Bluetooth hands-free that would not be visible (i.e. stolen!) from the wife's car, while being very simple to use.We like simple technology - features and functions are great, WHEN you want them, the rest of the time they drive you bonkers! While I'm driving I don't want my phones menus and functionality, just to take clear voice calls and make them; as safely and legally as possible. The Jabra SP5050 hands-free Bluetooth, just works! Out of the box it's simple - you don't need to buy anything else (except a mobile phone...), it has a car charger and it's that simple. If you see a review of this machine anywhere, they all glow about the ease, simplicity and clarity.I was considering getting the wife one that recognises voice commands - but this is for the wife at 85MPH; so I wanted it as simple as possible and to just work.So why am I impressed:-No installation required.-Simple to use-Long battery Life-Switches off, if not paired with a phone for 15 mins-No need to connect to a computer - just use it.-Takes less than 30 seconds to change the phone - so I can use it too!-Can be put in the car/removed in less than 10 secs - take it on holiday.-Small and compact. No, I don't work for Jabra! But I do beleive in singing the praises of great usable products - which is becoming a rarity.Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

FAQs O2/02 Genie Sims - Answers to common queries
O2 Genie Sim Cards - Frequently Asked Questions???I have sold O2 and other sim cards via EBay for just over 4 years now and during that time I have been asked many questions and had to locate the answers. A lot of the questions appear common to most users and I have listed them below hoping it will help those of you looking to purchase via EBay or those that have purchased and found the sim will not work in your handset. First and foremost I would say that rarely is a sim card faulty, from experience you are looking at less than 1 in 1,000.When you have placed the sim in your phone WHY does it say 'Inactive Sim' or 'Sim Invalid' - your handset is most probably locked to another network or maybe on contract. Your handset must be unlocked by your previous Network supplier before you can move to O2. If you are on contract, you cannot change to PAYG until the end of your contract.WHY does my handset ask for a 'SUBSIDY CODE', a subsidy code is required when your handset has been on contract, at the end of your contract, you will be issued with the code to allow you to transfer to PAYG.WHEN do I receive my registration credit, within 48 hours of registering your sim card with O2.WHEN do I receive my allowances, usually within 48 hours of activating and topping-up your sim cardCAN I keep my existing mobile Phone number - Yes you can PORT your number to any network of your choice, this is free of charge, you must contact your current Network provider and request a PAC - Port Authorization Code, this should be given to your new chosen Network.WHY wont my sim accept incoming calls? - Your sim card will not activate to accept or make calls until you have made your first top-upHOW do I change my options from Texts to Minutes or vice - versa. Dial 2425 FREE from your handset and follow the prompts, you may do this once each 30 days.HOW do I get UNLIMITED TEXTS - Top up at least

EBAYER BEWARE! - QUICK FEEDBACK REPUTATION GUIDE
Hi fellow eBayersI thought I'd draw up a little guide of knowledge I have built up over time on eBay regarding eBayers reputations.AsFeedback Ratings arethe corner stone of the eBay community, they are what eBayers constantly consult in order to decide whether to trade with somebody or not.In doing so, it is important to consider the following question:-Is an eBayer'sFeedback Ratingreliable? Here arefive key factors to consider when attempting to answer this question:1) How long has the eBayer been registered with eBay?2) Does their Feedback Rating fit with that length of time?3) What has the eBayer been receiving feedback for? Many eBayers build a high Feedback rating by simply selling or buying lots of 1p items for which they inevitably obtain positive comments and ratings.4) Check out whether the eBayer has had any "ratings mutually withdrawn". Now, if this has only happened once, then it's probably fair to give that person the benefit of the doubt. However, if it has happened on a number of accasions, be cautious. Sadly, I know from personal experience that some eBayers leave retaliatory negative feedback just so that they can then ask for "mutual feedback withdrawal" and get the negative that they had originally received. Obviously, this is an underhand practice that works on the basis that honest eBayers may give in to the request just to have the unfair feedback that was left for them removed. In such circumstances check under the feedback of the other parties in the transactions and make a judgement based on the other feedback ratings to see if you still want to trade with them.5) Check to see if the Feedback Score is significantly higher than the "All positive feedback" rating. If it is, it isgenerally agoodsign - it shows that eBayers have chosen to deal with that eBayer on more than one occasion which obviously means that they were happy to do so, so something must have been right!I hope that you have found this guide helpful. If you have, please rate it so that it is more likely to be seen by other eBayers. Thank you and Happy

CHANGING SAMSUNG E700/710/715 casing/facia (repair
SAMSUNG E700/710/715 CASING/HOUSING DISASSEMBLINGTools needed: Phillips x No 0 Screwdriver, possibly torx size 6* screwdriver,Thin tweezers/Pin/fingernail, an old debit or credit card (to separate the case edges).1) Turn the phone off and remove the battery and sim card.2) Using the Pin or a fingernail remove the two rubber covers on the rear of the phone near the top to reveal two screws.(e710/e715)3) With the Phillips screwdriver or t6 to remove all the screws on the rear of the phone, there arefour (4) (e700) or six (6) keep these screws safe. (note that longer screws go into top)4) Starting at the charger contact port, slide your fingernail or debit card between the edges/seam and work it around the edge, complete this all the way around until the back cover comes off. **Note** whilst doing this be careful not to lose any buttons, plugs or port covers as these will now be loose.5) Now the back cover is off you can separate the ribbon cable from the circuit board and then remove the circuit board, followed by the keypad. (To remove the ribbon just pull upwards at the end opposite the ribbon, to replace just set it in place and gently push down, this is almost similar to pulling Velcro apart)6) Remove the small (usually black) piece of tape close to the ribbon cable and put it in a safe place. (Can be used for refitting)7) Now to remove the flip hinge from the bottom of the phone, this is quite simple, you can use a flat headed screwdriver or small metal rod e.g. thick paper clip, just push the item you are using into the black part of the hinge rod on the left side and the top and bottom should come apart.8) Thread the ribbon cable through the hole in the hinge and the top and bottom should now be fully separated.9) Once again if not already done so using a Pin or a fingernail remove the two rubber covers near the hinge on the inside to reveal two screws, remove these and keep them safe.10) Now repeat step four (4) and separate the two parts **Note** There is possibly double sided tape under the blue/grey part of the hinge, use caution to remove the faceplate.11) You can now remove the LCD circuit board by lifting this up and it will disconnect from the camera at the top, to remove the speaker parts a little pressure is needed as they are stuck into place with double sided tape.(best to prise out with a small flat headed screwdriver)12) Removal of the camera is the same as removal of the speaker, as it to is held in by double-sided tape.13) After removal of the camera you should see black rubber, under this is a magnet, this HAS to also be removed and placed into your new casing/housing as it tells the phone if the camera is opened or closed.14) You will also now see in the old housing/casing a spring-loaded part, and opposite housing these need to be removed and placed into your new casing/housing. Ditto in reverse for refitting!Refitting is the same as removal, prior to throwing your old case away, ensure your new one comes with all parts otherwise you may need to salvage other bits from your old carcass.I used this method to remove and replace my casing/housing with no problems, but I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to your phone when changing your casing.

How to Save Water or Liquid Damaged Mobile Phones
Mobile phones, like laptops and other electrical devices, are notresistant to water or any other liquid. If liquid comes into contactwith the electronic board inside a phone, any metal components ittouches will corrode and can cause short circuits on the board. What to do after your phone comes into contact with liquid?DO NOT TURN ON POWER! In doing so the board will be fried. If yourphone is on switch it off immediately. Do not attempt to use even if itappears to be working and then follow the steps below:Get it out of the water as soon as possible. The plastic covers on cell phones are fairly tight, but water can enter the phone in a short period of time, perhaps only 20 seconds or less. So grab your phone quickly! If you can't get to it in time, your best bet is to remove the battery while it is still under water. Water helps dissipate heat from shorts that can damage the phone, so most damage occurs when the inside of the phone is merely wet and there is a power source.Remove the battery. This is one of the most important steps. Don't take time to think about it; electricity and water do not mix. Cutting power to your phone is a crucial first step in saving it. Many circuits inside the phone will survive immersion in water provided they are not attached to a power source when wet.Remove the memory card. This will ensure that un-necessary damage to your memory card is avoidedRemove your SIM card. Some or all of your valuable contacts (along with other data) could be stored on your SIM. To some people this could be more worth saving than the phone itself. SIM cards survive water damage well, but some of the following steps are unnecessary i.e. don't heat it. Just pat it dry and leave it aside until you need to connect your phone to your cellular network.Dry your phone. Obviously you need to remove as much of the water as soon as possible, so you can save it from getting into the phone. Shake it out without dropping it, then use a towel or paper towel to gently remove as much of the remaining water as possible. Dry the excess moisture by hand.Remove any covers and external connectors to open up as many gaps, slots, and crevices in the phone as possible.Use a vacuum if possible. Do not use a hair dryer (even on a "cold" mode) to dry out the phone, as this may force moisture further into the small components, deep inside the phone. If moisture is driven deeper inside, corrosion and oxidation may result when minerals from liquids are deposited on the circuitry. Using a hairdryer might be a temporary fix, but this will eventually cause component failure inside the phone. Instead, remove all residual moisture by drawing it away with a vacuum cleaner held over the affected areas for up to 20 minutes in each accessible area. This is the fastest method and can completely dry out your phone and get it working in thirty minutes. Be careful not to hold the vacuum too close to the phone, as a vacuum can create static electricity, which is even worse.Use a substance with a high affinity for water to help draw out moisture. Leave the phone in a bowl or bag of uncooked rice overnight. The rice would absorb any remaining moisture. If available, it is preferable to use desiccant instead. Desiccant will absorb moisture better than rice. It may be found under a brand name such as "Damp Rid" or "Dry Right".Let the phone sit on absorbent towels, napkin, or other paper. Remember that the goal is to evacuate all the moisture and humidity, not to trap it or add even more. Check the absorbent material every hour for 4 to 6 hours. If moisture is evident, repeat the vacuuming step and desiccant steps.Test your phone. After you have waited a day or so, make sure everything is clean and dry looking and re-attach the battery to the phone and see if it works. If your phone does not work, try plugging it into its charger without the battery, if this works, you need a new battery. If not, try taking your cell phone to an authorized dealer. Sometimes they can fix it. Don't try to hide the fact that it has been wet. There are internal indicators that prove moisture.DO's

Dual / Twin / Ghost SIM Adapters
There are many adapters available that let you put 2 SIM cardsat the same time into a mobile phone. This guide outlines some of the pros and cons of different sorts of adapter. It is based on my experiences having bought6 such items until I found what I really wanted.Whichever sort you buy, don't expect to be able to have both SIMs working at the same time. These adapters merely save you the hassle of opening your phone to swap SIM cards over, and do it for you electronically instead. The first difference in types is how you tell the adapter which SIM you want to use at any particular moment. This is either done the old fashioned way of switching the phone off, so that it automatically swaps to the other when you turn it back on, or alternatively the adapter can add a new menu to your phone ( this is called anSTK system) and you choose which SIM from the new menu on your phone. Each has advantages. The STK system lets you swap only when you want, and means that you don't have the hassle of the phone 'starting-up' on the wrong SIM. The other method( on/off ) has the advantage of not overwriting whatever menu your SIM card may add to the phone itself.e.g. old Vodafone SIMs did not add a menu of their own to your phone, but newer ones do with useful options for calling top-up etc.The more recent STK systems ( so-called 16th generation onwards, but strangely NOT the 20th generation I bought) have a facility to allow you to switch SIMs without a menu option, but rather by dialling a number on the keypad, which is intercepted as a "change-SIM" request. This is sometimes called "007 mode" in the case of the offerring from MagicSIM.The 2 main drawbacks of STK system adapters are a) the battery drain is significantly more than with an ordinary SIM or anon/off type SIM.b) their software can (rarely) interfere with normal operation of your SIM and it may not work at all.I found this to be the case with my "3 Network" SIM in the UK which would not work with any STK adapter, but works fine in an on/off type adapter.Finding an on/off type is getting difficult as it is old technology now, but Googling for "universal" "ghost" "sim" might bring some to light. The next major difference is as follows.....Dual or Twin or Ghost SIM adapters come in 2 basic types. One where you cut your SIMs down with scissors or a cutter to a smaller size and place them in a carrier the same size as one ordinary SIM.The other has a ribbon cable joining a SIM "plug" to 2 SIM "sockets". These let you slide your 2 SIMS into a cradle at one end of the adapter without trimming them down, and then slide the other end of the whole thing into the original socket in your phone. You may fear damaging your SIMS if you cut them, and think this is the best solution.Be aware however that there must be room inside your phone for the new assembly. There was no room if any of my three mobiles to use this sort of adapter, but they are made different shapes for different phones and you might find one that works for your model. Some manufacturers offer special backs for mobile phones, that have a pocket area inside to hold such a beast. Finally even of you buy the right thing for your needs, you may find, as I did, that when you try it out, the phone just says "Insert SIM", meaning it doesn't work. This is almost certainly a case of bad contacts. You may have trimmed the SIM in the wrong place, trimmed it too small so it moves in the holder, or just be unlucky enough to have not made good contact. Fixes that worked for me involved...a) repositioning the adapter in the phone slightly, more up one end of the socket than the other for example.b) cleaning the cut down SIMS to remove all grease and fingerprintsc) padding the adapter with a foam pad on top of it so the battery squeezs it down onto the contactsd) carefully prodding the dimples in the adapter from the back with a ball-point pen to "re-dimple" acollapsed down dimple.Keep trying - I never had one that didn't eventually work. The different "generations" of these adapters signify improvements over timee.g. the ability to have the phone "auto-swap" the SIMS at a time interval chosen by you. In this way you will probably be able to be informed by text of any messages waiting for you from either number.Better generations support more complex SIMS eg USIM's and 3G - read the advert, but remember that 3 in the UK will probably never work with an STK menu type adapter - unless someone else out there has succeeeded.

Dont let scammers to rip you off.
Hi, i have experienced lots of scammers on ebay and internet at all. Thought it would be good to tell you one way you can make them dissapointed in the way they cant steal your money. First: i have noticed lots of mainly nigerian scammers will purchase your item and then send you fake paypal email saying that your item was paid for and you can send it with no worries. What you do is simply log into your paypal account and you will see if there is any payment or not. If there is not, just send them what ever you want "i mean very not nice email or so".Other option is when there is money but they came from email address which is not verified or is situated somewhere in Indonesia or Thailand or so. In this case i would wait around one whole week before sending the money, because it can happen that card was stolen and your money will be taken away from you. This is usually case of notebooks, mobile phones and expensive electronics generaly. Now something for buyers. If you use your card for paying through paypal, make on simple thing, go to your bank, ask them to open new current account where you cant go to the debit and simply top up this account with money only when you purchase something. It can stay out of money in the meantime. But in case someone will get your bank details, there will be anyway nothing to take from you and thats what you want. Make scammers unhappy if they cant earn money other way than steal them from you.Hope this will help, if you like this guide, please vote for me. Thanks.

CB Radio Buying Guide for UK Poland
Do you need a licence to use a CB radio in the UK?The simple answer is no, the CB licence was scrapped in late 2006. You can use the 2 CB bands that are legal in the UK, the old UK40 band, and the European CEPT (mid block) both bands are FM, and give you a total of 80 Channels to use in the UK.European countries such as Ireland, France, Italy etc can also use AM, and so if you live in the travel in Europe and want to communicate with other CB radio users and get traffic reports, then consider a European AM/FM Multi-Standard CB radio such as the TTI TCB-660 etc. These CB radios must legally be set to the country that you are in at the time of use e.g. in the UK, you set them to the UK bands. Each European country has its own laws regarding licences, and it is up to the user to check the current laws in any country that they intend to use a CB radio in.Who uses CB radios over 25 years after the craze in the early 80's?Our most common buyers now seem to be;4x4 drivers who join a green-laning club and are told by event organisers that they need a CB radio installed and working properly before they are allowed onto the course. We had a customer in the shop before Christmas 2007 who was going off roading on MOD property, and the MOD also told everyone taking part in the event that they must have CB radios before they were even allowed through the gate.Truckers and other business users such as farmers, site vehicles such as earthmovers etc, courier firms such as DHL, breakdown firms such as the AA.Tourers and Motorhome drivers who travel in convoy on their travels. Fibreglass and aluminium bodied motorhomes provide problems with antenna installation, but we can always find a solution for you.Motorcyclists such as Harley Davidson and Honda riders have them installed so they can talk to other riders whilst out on runs. CB radios have big advantages over the cheap PMR446 walkie talkies in that you can install a proper CB aerial on your bike (PMR446 radios by law cannot have their antennas replaced or modified) Also, CB radios have an RF signal output of 4 Watts, as opposed to a PMR446 output of 0.5W So you will get better range with a CB.People travelling throughout Europe are also increasingly using CB radios. An example is Polish people who now live and work in the UK, and travel back to Poland to see friends and family. We asked the Polish CB radio buyers why so many were installing CB radios for when they travelled over to Poland. It seems that the Polish police see a vehicle with a UK registration plate as a cash machine! the fines are on the spot, and in cash and woe betide you if you ask for a receipt for the alleged offence. One customer who asked for a receipt for his fine was threatened by the police with having his vehicle impounded and a night in jail, so he just paid his

Nokia 6288 Housing Fitting Guide/Dismantle
Here are some instructions for the fitting of Nokia 6288 Facia. This is a very straightforward procedure for a slide phone thanks in no part of not having to transfer the slide assembly. Note: This will also work for Nokia 6280 as well.Steps:1) Remove the battery cover and battery from the phone.2) Using a plastic implement or similar, seperate the front cover at the top of the phone. Once the top cover comes off, the top keypad section will also seperate from the phone, as this is not connected unlike the lower part.3) Replace the front housing with the new one - make sure the keypad is properly aligned with the contacts. Clip this down into place and make sure it is secure.4) Replace battery and rear cover.

having had a couple of dealings with a seller, who was a pain in the harris i noticed a few more of his items appear, and the highest bidder was new that day, and had a name similar to one on my old ones..(Hmm)so i dug a little deeper, check the highest bidders current bids or items they have bid on..I did this, this is how..do this in the 'advanced search' option, look for 'by bidder' and tick the 'completed listings' box.i did this and another seller came up as well as the original one..so i checked the new sellers item bid, this is located next to the amount of bids number say's 'bids' and i looked in the list and there are the two other names..the seller i got robbed by, and the current highest bidder on his item..so i check the other item the current seller has, and guess who is the highest bidder ??yup the same as the othe item, and also a previous bidder is the other seller..phew, it's a long way round, but doing this i found three ebay users bidding on each others items..this is not a coincidence but is 'shill bidding' and results in your acount being suspended..so words of advice..if you see a seller with a low feedback, always check other items, and the bidders list, if you see the same high bidder, or you see a bidder thats new in the past few days, be very cautious, just spend a couple of minutes doing the 'advanced search' checks to find these people...in the end if we report these shill bidders if saves you and me a lot of money..one item the shill bidders had they managed to bid up an extra

A guide in buying legitimate Gold Mobile phone numbers
When buying gold mobile phone numbers off ebay the things you need to wiery of are... - does the number you buy actually exsist? There are many ways of finding out whether or not the number you are buying actually exsits, many numbers you buy these days are not given in full e.g. 078 ** 007 007 , the *'s represents missing numbers that sellers tend to leave out for several reasons, firstly they dont want you to know the full number, in case for some reasonthe number is new and unregistered it is very easy for people to call up the network provider the number isconnected toand 'hijack' the number, or re-register it into there name, hence theowner or in this case the seller loosing out on the number. if the full number can be obtained then, all you have to do is call the number and as long as a message saying the number you are dialing is not in service /or connected then you know your ok. if the full number cannot be obtained then make sure you check that the seller has adequate feedback and in certain cases dont buy but from sellers that have paypal protection. try and avoid cheques, bank transfers and other means of paying where you arent covered if anything goes wrong. always make sure you ask the seller Whether he has the registration details for the number before buying, as with out them the number isnt worth the plastic chip its on. dont accept to buy a number only if you are offered a PAK code ( this is the porting authorisation code, that you require in order to move from one network to another,) as in most cases network providers ask you the details of the owner of this number as well as this code. even me as a sellerive been stung many of times trying to buy numbers off ebay from people that advertisenumbers they never even have! make sure you ask the seller thequestions stated and remember if its too good to be true its NOT GENUINE! Gold Mobile numbers nowadays are very expensive, as it is seen as a great investment and along with that comes great risk when buying. there are very few genuine Gold mobile phone dealers on ebay make sure you deal with the right one! Identifying Fraud - For Dummies!
I recently "sold" my Samsung d600 mobile phone toa fake ebayuser (whose account has now been deleted). This user is confirmed with PayPal as a fraud, due to fake confirmation emails. This is how one of the emails were written:"Dear Seb Dixon, A payment has been made into your paypal account: (**************) by************ and it has been approved to be credited to your account once shipment tracking number is submitted to our customer care center. You are expected to ship out this item within 24hrs of receiving this notification and mail the shipment details to (customer.care.center@consultant.com) Note this fund will not reflect in your account though it has been approved unless shipment tracking number is confirmed by our customer care center, we do this to balance the sellers and buyers ratio in transaction and to avoid fraud occurrencesThank you for using PayPal!The PayPal Team"I instantly suspected this as fake when I noticed the email address from which it had been received : "service@paypal.co.uk . customer.care.center@consultant.com"I beleive that some kind of action should be taken against people like this, because not everybody will notice the little things which identify the emails/paypal account or whatever as fake.ALWAYS CHECK THAT THE "PAYPAL" EMAILS YOU ARE RECEIVING ARE GENUINE, AND THAT EVERY PART OF ONLINE TRANSACTIONS IS SAFE.I can very much recommend signing up for a Paypal account, to those who haven't yet. Thanks for reading!

Buying a Digital Camera: What to look for
If you find this guide usefull please click the yes button belowThe basics on purchasing a digital camera are as follows: DON'T buy a camera just because it has HIGH MEGA-PIXELS... Factor in everything. Just remember, a camera that takes a5 mega pixel image does nottakea betterquality image than a2 mega pixel camera. It simply means, the 5 mega pixel camera can take an image that is larger, but it is still the same quality (in other words, thedpi (dots per inch)is the same, but thesize of the pictureis larger). This is a very important point that most consumers don't realize.. 3-5 Mega Pixels is generally a good option, preferring the 5 Mega Pixel end. An Image Stabilizer option on your camera is VERY IMPORTANT...(a lot of the better camera's come standard with this now) which basically means you can take pictures even if you have the shakes, and it comes out very clear, it also lets you take movies in stable mode, whereby you can get crisp pictures and movies without having to use a tripod and the clarity is perfect, eradicating blur and fuzziness from not holding the camera super still. DIGITAL ZOOM is a waste of time....Digital zoom simply enhances the photo digitally, so it just makes the pixels larger as you zoom in, whereas OPTICAL zoom is true zoom, in other words, it zooms in with NO loss in quality because it literally uses the LENS option to zoom, it becomes very evident when you try to zoom in on a picture and as soon as the digital zoom takes over, it gets very choppy and blurry. Try to get something starting at 5 x optical zoom, it doesn't matter what the digital zoom number is, you'll see what I mean, it is kind of pointless using digital zoom. MAKE SURE YOU GET AN AV CABLE AND THAT THE CAMERA HAS THE OPTION TO PLUG ONE IN....This lets you connect your camera to a television, it is just sooo much better showing the family your movies and photos on a tv, rather than huddling around your computer, or worse, trying to watch some tiny little screen on the camera, and besides, everyone has a TV that you can use to show people your photography. It becomes a lot of fun aswell, showing your xmas movies/birthdays/holidays/celebrations all on the TV to the whole family. Just change your TV to the AV setting, and plug the camera in, and away you go, instant family viewing, everyone will love it. The viewfinder is important, make sure you get one that starts at 2 inches, otherwise its kind of hard to review your pictures on them. And if you can, a flip out viewfinder is just soooo handy, so that you can move it into any position without compromising taking the picture. MAKE SURE you purchase a fast battery charger that can charge your batteries in about an hour or so, and try to buy a camera that takes standard AA or AAA rechargable batteries, otherwise if you purchase something with a special battery, you will have to bring the charger with you everywhere you go and try to find a charger socket which sometimes can be very inconvenient. And AA or AAA batteries are always available from anywhere. If you don't use rechargable batteries its going to cost you a LOT of money in batteries if you don't, and make sure you purchase the NiMH type batteries which are the most powerful (some cameras wont even turn on unless they are NiMH) On purchasing a Memory Card, you will need a LARGE one, preferably a gigabyte or 500MB card. You see, to take movies with a digital camera, it usually takes movies in 640x360 mode, or 320x180 mode which after 8/16 minutes of recording (depending on which mode), can fill the card. Its also a good idea not to purchase additional Memory cards, on the basis that you should just purchase a multi-media storage device instead, so you can take both with you on a holiday, and once the card becomes full, you just transfer the contents onto the device, and then you can start taking photos/movies again. MAKE SURE YOU GET A FAST SPEED MEMORY CARD...otherwise if you don't, you will be wasting your money, and if you are recording a movie at 640/480 resolution, with 30 frames a second, your card wont be able to keep up with the amount of data being recorded, and will crash after 1 minute or so. A good standard card would be 120 x speed, or in other words, something that writes at 9 Megabytes a second. Movies: As far as movie "quality" goes, try to get one that has 30 frames a second AT LEAST, otherwise your movies will look like old fashioned choppy movies from the 40's. FPS means Frames Per Second. Be careful not to get confused between the frames per second and the quality. If a sample movie you are watching is recorded in 60 fps -which is a new feature on many cameras- and you try to compare this to a movie recorded in 30 fps mode, they are going to look very different. Obviously the 60fps movie will look realistic and clear. So make sure you are comparing movies with the same frame rate. Essentially the more frames per second the recording is, the less blur you will notice, and you may be confusing this with "low quality imaging" by mistake. Make sure the shop that you intend to buy the camera from will accept a refund after 2 weeks or so, because like with myself, after taking the camera home, you may not be entirely satisfied with its performance, and may want to purchase a different camera, and its better to have that option up your sleeve. Protect your LENS!!!! Don't let anything touch or hit the lense, and always protect it, it is the engine of your car, and is vulnerable, so take heed. Make sure you try the camera in the store or ask for samples of it INDOORS, not OUTDOORS, all digital camera footage looks good outdoors, but a true test will be recording movies indoors, and taking still shots indoors, TRUST ME! If you are going to purchase a digital camera for the movie option aswell, which most people do, TRY to get one with Stereo sound, and at LEAST Mono, otherwise its kind of silly recording movies without sound. But stereo sound is about 500 times better than normal Mono (single) sound recording cameras. And when all other advice fails, try to purchase a well known camera for its name: Canon and Olympus are probably two of the most trusted I can recommend. If you have the option for an extended warranty, take it. I hope this helps, and have fun with whatever camera you purchase.

Bank Transfer Scams
There is a huge scam worth an obscene amount of money on eBay at the moment.Basicallythe itemcan only be paid for by bank transfer. The sellers have hacked into hundreds of eBay accounts, created false sales, leaving positive feedback for themselves and then deleting the details so that the owner of the account doesn't notice. With a perfect feedback score they are then enticing buyers by selling goods (laptops, ipods, mobile phonesetc)that are priced a little below any one else. They are not too highly discounted that you might think it is too good to be true.Of course their contact details are not registered with eBay and they will not give you a postal address. So far we know (myself and a few other eBayers I have been in contact with who have been scammed) that they are using LloydsTSB and HSBC accounts but of course they could have an account with every bank in the country. Please, please do not pay by bank transfer without scrutinising the feedback, you will notice that all their recent feedback was left on one day within seconds of each other. For example look at the feedback of Bovski and Happystickman. They are two known hijacked accounts and we are working on exposing others. I am happy for eBayers to contact me for more information, Shelley

How To Price Your Item Correctly On Ebay
Many new ebay sellers often fall into the pricing trap. Either they price their items too high to be unsellable or they price it too low to make any profits. Some basic information on ebay pricing. Ebay has three prices that can be set for an auction. The "Buy It Now" PriceAllow bidders to buy the item at a fixed price immediately without waiting for the auction to end. Effectively, it also means the auction will end once it has a bidder. The only exception will be in dutch auctions. The Starting Bid PriceAny auction will require a starting bid price. This is the price set by the auctioneer when he/she first lists the auction. The Reserve PriceThis is the pre-determined price set by the auctioneer. Bids will need to exceed or equal to the reserve price before it will be sold. If an auction ends with the reserve price not being met, the item will not be sold. Both the "Buy It Now" and reserve price are optional on ebay.It is important that your starting bid price be set low to attract bidders to your auction. My advise would be to set the starting bid as $0.99 or lower. As a rule of thumb, never set it higher than $50.What do you do then if you can't sell an item below a certain price? The answer is to set a reserve price. That way, you do not have to worry about selling an item below your profit margin. Also, it will not affect your feedback rating.Another potential pricing issue on ebay is shipping. Most disagreements between buyers and sellers occur because of shipping cost.My advice would be not to overcharge on shipping since most buyers take shipping cost into consideration when looking at an auction. Also it is relatively easy for buyers to determine the shipping cost since ebay and most shipping services such as USPS and fedex provide one.It is fair for sellers to charge a little for handling charges since it take work to package the item and also postage fees. Most buyers would understand however if possible, try to eliminate handling charges except for big and heavy items. It is also important to first find out the average selling price of your item before even listing it on ebay. This will tell you the starting price you should list and how much is the ending bid.The most simple way is to browse through the history of the item you are planning to list on ebay. You can get a feel for how much your item is worth and even determine the starting bid by browsing other sellers' items. I have got this guide off a site outside of ebay, however I feel this will be very useful for people on ebay.If you found this guide helpful, please rate. Thank You.

Free SIM unlock codes!
I just read some reviews about to not buy unlocking codes from sellers on eBay as you can download this software free from the net. Nothing but the true, but the one who write this guide don't knowone little detail, you must know to use the software to make it generate the right code.I'm the only one on eBay how give free asistance to unlock your phone and i guaranted that codes work on any phonesfrom my list. It's true i get 1 negative and one neutral feedback but because one buyer don't know to read well, and other one do not ask for my assistance. everybody who ask for assistance give me a positive feedback, many buyers don't leave feedback for no reason, maybe they don't call for assistance or they forget to do it.If you want to unlock your phone try the google to search for codes, but you will not find out how to get the real code for your phone, that is a factDo not trust in Samsung universal unlock code ( temporary unlock ) you can get your phone death or freeze, then you will pay 50 quid to repair it.

Memory Card Guide For Choosing The Correct Card

This generation of memory cards are used by many mobile phone manufacturers which is what this format of memory card was developed for - mobile phones. Produced in capacity of up to 2GB, this format of card is used in pretty much every mobile phone that accepts and external memory card. Nokia and Samsung amongst the most common. These have now moved on to be re-named MICROSDHCMicroSDHC:Manufactured in 4GB 8GB 16GB 32GBMicroSDHC is now the next generation after the pretty standard and low capacity microSD cards, or so you would think so. 2GB offers plenty of space for your pictures, at least you would think so, but the newer modern mobile phones are now being offered with better quality cameras, enabling better quality pictures to be taken meaning you now need more space hence the larger card capacities on offer. Customers are also utilising their mobile phones and using them for other things other than just making phone calls, e.g listening to their MP3 tracks on their phones, albums after albums, meaning more space required on a memory card to store such music. Hence the reason for the development of the MicroSDHC memory card.Although you would think that the older type phones that use the MicroSD format would accept the newer MicroSDHC type of cards, they DONT! Your device needs to be SDHC compatible in order to accept the newer format.Tip look for the SDHC logo on your product, which will confirm if it is SDHC or MicroSDHC compatible;M2 Micro Memory Stick:Manufactured in 1GB 2GB 4GB 8GB 16GBBasically Sony Ericssons answer to the MicroSD and MicroSDHC cards. Sandisk also provide their own equivalent to the Sony brand. Available in 1GB capacity through to 16GB capacity. Again for the 4GB and above memory cards your product needs to be able to accept the larger capacity cards. 1GB and 2GB will work with any Sony Ericsson mobile phone that accepts the M2 Micro memory card.MMCSD

free samsung unlock code do not use to risky
there is a lot of free codes for unlocking samsung phones most of which work but there is 1 #*7337# which may cause a lot of damage to your phone once you type this code into your phone there is a 50 50 chance that it will totally reset your phone including your emei code, which is kinda like a car number plate and needs to be individual to your phone, this numberenables your phone to make calls etc this code may well set your code back to all zeros and this will not allow any calls or messages to be sent until the phone is re-programed back to its original code. this tends to happen a lot with the g600 g700 j600 andSOUL models so if you buy a code and it is this well use it at your own risk you have been warned as it will take a specialist and may cost in the range of 40 to 50 pounds to repairplease vote for this guide if you find it usefulthanxJUST TO FOLLOW UPthis is feedback i have found on 1 ofthe sellers on the right hand side of this page it gets straight to the pointTHIS PRODUCT HAS DESTROYED MY BRAND NEW PHONE DEFINATELY DON'T USEDUE TO THE INTEREST IN THIS GUIDE I HAVE DONE RESEARCH AND CAN NOW OFFER THE ONLY CODE THAT WILL SAFELY UNLOCK THE G600 AND E900

PAYPAL BLOODY PAYPAL - CALL CENTRE SHAMBLES
Ever tried calling PAYPAL customer services?Paypal are not exactly the most customer service orientated of outfits. You might consider phoning Paypal customer services if you have given up the will to live aftergoing round and round in circles on their website. If you take this direct optionyou might get lucky and have your problem resolved..............but then again!........Here are A few simple tips tofollow to help you on your way.Don't set your expectations too high, if your a seller Paypal will of course take your fees but don't be fooled into thinking that because of this you will be treated as a customer......it doesn't work like this.Having chosen to phone Paypal you might want to speak to aperson rather than a computer. If you want to speak to an agent just keeprepeating "AGENT" over and above the automated voice. You will probably now be put on hold - don't be fooled by the dull melancholic music, it is designed to send you to sleep, todampen your senses, what ever you do - hold on to your edge and above all, don't forget why you called in the first place. Now your through to the agent make sure you have got all of the different paypal coding to hand. By coding I mean the code letters and numbers sprinkled all over their web pages. the temporary 6 digit pin is quite valuable in proving who you are.Better still try to have your computer by your phone......... but turn the power saver settings off before making the call. When you're talking to the agent try to remain calm......it really isn't their fault, they are on the frontline of customer service and probably doing the best job they can using processes that are designed for a purpose other than customer satisfaction. At all costs avoid asking for the supervisor or manager, this will only result in being put back on hold for the remainder of the call.I hope this guide helps you. You will find that most simple and straight forwardproblems can be resolved in about 4 daysto a week. Set your expectations at the lower end of the scale and you will avoid disappointment.

Maximun mobile memory size
Many people are still struggling to find out what is the maximum capacity of their mobile phone. Here is some useful information writen to help you decide which size you should get. The easiest way is to google "your mobile model memory card". However this method sometimes doesnot work. If you still have the user manual, you can find the information on it. Don't worry if lose it, you can still check the mobile manufacture's website. Nokia ,Samsung ,Motorola and LG mobiles take Micro SD card. Sony Ericsson mobiles are only compatible with the Sony memory stick pro duo or M2 (micro stick), with the exception of K850(use m2 and micro sd).If your mobile is 2 years old or more, then it certainly cannot use the latest 2G/4G/8G memory card. Try 512MB or 1GB. Some mobiles, like Motorola V3/V3i etc, can use 1gb micro sd card only with the lastest firmware. Motorola A1000 will only support up to 512MB. If you put a 1gb card inside, it will say "format the memory card". And large memory makes mobiles respond very slowly, as there are too many files on it. I have a Sony Ericsson K750i, and put a 2gb memory stick pro duo on it. Every time I open the picture or sound folder, it takes at least 60 seconds. So I changed it to 512MB, works fine now. K750i takes reasonable pictures, and this 512M will store about 1000 pics on it. Since the battery will be dead well before you use all the memory space, there is no use for huge memory card unless you are obssessed with it. Will be revised when I got more information. Hope you find it helpful. If you have any good advice on this guide or still not sure about which memory card you should use, please feel free to e-mail me through ebay. Please Vote Yes if you find it helpful.

CECT Mobile Phones
You may have recently seen some phones on sale recently, which seem in appearance to be a phone you have previously seen uner the name of 'Nokia' or 'Sony Ericsson', now being advertised as CECT. From what i have managed to find out, CECT phones are basically cheap - knock off versions of the phones they look so similar to. Example: The CECT P168 retails in China at around $150, and about

Returns and refunds
Hi allAnothersharing of knowledge on UK law if that's ok.I came across an item today where the seller had, rather rudely, added that:"Returns accepted when paid through PayPal only if not as described [sic]. Items that are sold as seen or job lots are excluded. Full refund will be given when goods returned. Postage excluded. Please return recorded for your own safety."And so on. Aside from a career in writing small-print for loan sharks, I think the customer service is way off here. But that's not why I'm writing. I'm actually going to comment on the illegality of this disclaimer. This is my second review and again, I'm sorry, but this is for UK law only. There are four main reasons why an item from e-Bay might be returned: 1) faulty/damaged/broken, 2) not as described, 3) buyer change of mind (due to error, finance, change of heart etc) and 4)mis-delivery by the post office.1. If an item is delivered faulty/damaged/broken, and was not sold as such, the seller is legally bound to refund. They may well claim their loss from the Royal Mail after, but they CAN NOT pass on the cost to the buyer. (Of course, this doesn't apply if the buyer is clumsy and broke it themselves!) Items can be sold as faulty, as long as their sale doesn't transcend obvious other laws such as Health

Nokia N73 Buyers guide: Pros and Cons
Here is my first Guide on Nokia Phones. I will be posting a comprehensive guide for any Nokia phone that has passed from my hands, in order to help customers to buy with confidence, and to know what they pay for! So the first guide concerns the Nokia N73 phone, one of the best Nseries bar-type phones, yet one of the most dangerous phones on sale...The N73 phone was introduced on April 2006, and first shown on shelves last May or June. It is a complete phone, having everything someone can ask from a candy bar phone of its size. It's weight andsize (117g including standard battery, memory cardand sim card, at 110x49x19mm) make it a complete 3g phone, with extremely good signal reception on both GSM and UMTS networks, even at the most difficult-to-receive areas. The phone features a Carl Zeiss 3.2Mp camera with ashtonishing photographic quality (even better than the N93), a second video call VGA camera, very good quality video, Mini SD card slot with hot-swap capability (no need to switch off to change card), supporting up to 4Gb flash (depending on firmware vesion. Older versions support up to 2Gb memory), Mobile Office, Outlook synchronisation, Contacts backup to memory card as .vcf files, standard F-Secure Antivirus, Bluetooth v2.0, IrDA, EDGE up to 240Kbps, and UMTS/3G connection up to 384Kbps.The N73 also features an FM Radio with RDS capabilities, Media Player for mp3, aac, and mpeg4 files, Java MIDP2 support, Push-to-Talk technology, voice command options, integrated handsfree (allthough, if you want to activate the Radio, you have to plug in the included stereo headset). Finally, the phone can be updated by the user directly, by downloading Nokia Update Service Software from the Official site of Nokia. It's a process that takes up to 1 hour on a 768Kbps DSL connection (23Mb the installer, and about 70Mb the phone firmware), but it saves you from going to Nokia Shops in order to update the phone, which usually can take up to 48 hours if the phone has to be sent out to Nokia. The cons of the phone.Nokia N73 don't feature WLAN, and this makes it somehow difficult to work around in all environments, when needed to be connected to the internet. The Nokia N73 and the N73 Music Edition suffer from low battery times on older firmware versions (less than 4 talking hours and less than 120 hours of standby), and the worst problem is the phone's SAR. SAR, or Specific Absorption Rate,is the measurement of the Electromagnetic emissions and is weighed at Watts per Kilogram. The maximum limit set by the EU and other countries is set to 2.0W/Kg, and Nokia N73 reaches 1.13W/kg (RM-133) or 0.92W/kg (RM-132).The difference of the SAR depends on the main PCB of the phone. The PCB with the RM-132 customization is not available in all EU countries. You just have to make sure that you use a Bluetooth or a headset at all times, as you may experience headaches and slight disorientation, as well as slight memory problems if you are a heavy user (ie 1-2 hours on the phone per day or more) and don't use a headset/handsfree. Considering that Nokia's N80, and N91 SAR is 0.48-0.67, and the upcoming N95 has a sar value of 0.58, you can understand that the values of 0.92 or even worse the 1.13, are pretty high.Nokia N73 is a complete phone, with almost everything someone who's on the go can ask. The absence of wlan and the high SAR values though, can be 2 restraining factors for the businessman who needs to be connected to the internet via his phone, but it makes it definately a very nice media centre for the music and video enthusiasts. Buy it with confidence from as low as 300 Euros (sim free, sealed and not on any contract), depending on your country of residence, or eBay for it and happy buys!
